Factory Overview

All terry items and fabric are woven in-house on GIA’s wide width (upto 240cm working width) modern looms which total 73, and are imported from Germany and Switzerland. The machines are installed in two separate factories centrally located in two of Karachi’s largest industrial areas, Korangi and S.I.T.E.

Total processing needs are met under GIA’s one-roof operation, including weaving, dyeing, shearing, embroidery, grading and packing. Each stage of the cycle is thoroughly monitored and documented by an independent and efficient team of inspectors, supplemented with an internal testing laboratory to maintain high standard.

Dyes and Chemicals:

All GIA towels are dyed with the finest dyes from Switzerland: reactive dyes, ‘azo-free’ and up to 60° centigrade colour fast. We are also capable of giving 90° centigrade colour fastness by using Vat (Indathrine) dyes.

Value Additions:

• Shearing machine adds a luxuriously soft velour feel to the towels.
• Multiple head six-colour embroidery machines further beautify the towel.
• 53 wide width jacquard machines weave stunning yarn dyed jacquard towels with multicolour effects in the weft, producing complicated designs and ornamental woven borders.
• Excellent facility for towel printing provides up to eight colours to make printed beach towels as well as combinations of plain and printed coloured towels in attractive mix ‘n match sets.
• Towels are professionally packed according to individual customer requirements in special cartons with picture inlays, gift sets etc.
• High quality 100% cotton combed ring spun yarn, super carded yarn, and open end yarn can be used on special request, as per customer needs.
